I love the outfits they wear (it fits perfectly with the characters) and even though it was filmed in New Orleans, it looks like Florida. Everyone needs to start watching this overlooked, underrated gem because it deserves a long run.

My favorite characters are Niecy Nash as Desna Simms--she is everything: Mama Bear, voluptuous vixen, leader of the baddest nail techs in FL. This show is just a mess of a soap-opera and I love it. The fashion is over-the-top but always fun to see and the characters are compelling. Although some plot points were predictable the cast really draws you in and you just become invested in thier zaniness. However I depend on closed captioning

It's the kind of ghetto fabulous show that I normally wouldn't bother with. It's fun, it's funny, the writing is clever and the acting is excellent. Great costume designer, great filming and great character development.

Karreuche Tran (as Virginia Loc) is a surprisingly good actress--didn't even know she was an actress--she plays a Millennial who desperately wants to do anything to be a part of Desna's Cool Girl Clique.

The show is a riot.

Set in a South Florida nail salon, CLAWS is a midnight-dark, wickedly funny meditation on female badness which follows the rise of five diverse and treacherous Florida manicurists at the Nail Artisan of Manatee County Salon, where there is a lot more going on than silk wraps and pedicures. Won't spoil it, watch the show, it's damn good.
